The mandala (Sanskrit: मण्डल for circle) is a generic term from Tibetan art and Tibetan Buddhism for a plan, map or geometric pattern that metaphysically or symbolically represents the cosmos. The concept has Hindu origins, but is also widely used in Tibetan Buddhism. It is an awesome and meaningful gift.
